David: Raising the Tribe of Kings

The only man whose throne Yahweh established forever is David. Not only does he have that to his name, but the lineage of the Son of God was also named after him. Jesus is the manifestation of the legacy of David. It is not a long shot to say that the processes he went through in his life have great value to us in establishing us for what Yahweh wants to do in the future.
 
David could have adopted the top-down leadership structure that his predecessor Saul embraced. Instead, he spent years in obscurity and in the limelight walking through processes that would cause true kingship to be established inside him. He did not simply allow others to serve him but he gave his life for those he governed over so that he could raise them up as kings.
 
Whether we like it or not, the Lamb of God has made us kings and priests. In this book, we will learn from the processes of David’s life so that the kingship that has been bestowed upon us can fully mature in us. In this day, the kings are rising up. Yahweh is causing His kings to rise up. And this is what His tribe will be. His tribe will be a tribe of kings.
